The IM.PRESS Refresh - Call for submissions.

This is an open call for submissions to IM.PRESS - IMPROF’s flagship newsletter with a community-driven purpose.

We would like to solicit submissions from the most diverse and dynamic pool of contributors possible, on a wide variety of topics. While we do not have a specific mandate, we would like to publish thought-provoking pieces that challenge popular thinking, and highlight lesser known stories that should be brought to wider audiences in Singapore and across the world. We’d love to see pieces that respond to and commentate on contemporary issues gripping the popular imagination, articles profiling the groundbreaking work being done by individuals in our community in the third sector, reflections on print or visual media, perhaps some musings on arts, politics, or economic and social issues!

IM.PRESS is happy to work with contributors in order to help construct these submissions, offering suggestions on length, content, and helping with the editing process. If you have something you would like to write, please do get in touch at contact@improfsg.com, and we’ll let you know if this is something we are interested in running.

Style guide:
1. IMPROF is informed. All writing published through IMPRESS should reflect this, pieces should be fact-checked to a very high quality.

2. IMPROF is excited. All pieces should showcase the genuine interest and passion of the author, we are not interested in flat or monotone (business news) styles of writing.

3. IMPROF is professional. All pieces should (ideally) be proofread multiple times, clear of typos, and structural errors prior to submission to the editor.

The editorial team is present to be a second pair of eyes, not to do the first round of editing for you
