Meet the Mentors

Meet Devi Vijayan, an educator who has worked in both local and international schools, and is currently working with special needs students.
Devi believes that children should be at the heart of everything related to education, from assessment, infrastructure, classroom management, to pedagogy.

Meet Dr Sheena Ramazanu, a NUS research fellow who previously served as a registered nurse when she was encouraged by her mentor, Dr Carole Willard from the University of Manchester to upgrade her skills by taking up a PhD.
During her PhD stint in Hong Kong, she served as a Mental Health Ambassador and Residential Hall Tutor where she organized inter-cultural activities for 200 - 300 undergraduate and postgraduate hall residents annually.
She benefitted greatly from having a mentor and hopes to pay it forward by being a part of IMAN.

Meet Rakeeza Sheren , a graphic designer and founder of Grit Pursuit, an online shop specializing in handmade goods. She believes that it is important for designers to stay up to date with the changes in the technology industry and to be a good designer, one should be open to new opportunities and experimentation.

Meet Natasha Razak, a journalist with Channel News Asia, who was inspired by her father to enter this field. She believes in the importance of planning as well as staying disciplined and organized in order to be effective in accomplishing tasks and avoiding a backlog of work.

Say hello to Muhammad Irfan, an educator who believes in the importance of quality relationships. He believes that this has helped him achieve quality results, both with his students and the team of educators under him.

Meet Basir Amir @nomocraft, an Architect and co-founder of Inklings Building Workshop, a private architectural design house focusing on delivering quality and bespoke architecture to clients.
Besides Architecture, Basir is also an avid traveller and “foodie”.
Through his foodie experience, he saw an opportunity to “rethink” our typical prata shops and voila!
Prata Alley and Open Kitchen were born out of that pursuit of wanting to share the traditional food/cuisine with the next generation.

Meet Mangalambikai, who graduated with a Honors Degree in Sociology from NTU and has worked for MSF for the last 3.5 years. After a hard day at work, she loves to unwind by playing sudoku and spending time with her dog.

Meet Priyahnisha, a psychotherapist for almost 6 years who runs her own private practice called Reset Right that helps patients overcome a range of emotional, relational and mental health issues.
She is also the co-founder of Mental ACT @mental_act_sg, a non-profit organisation that advocates and provides training and support for mental health issues in the Indian community in Singapore.
Outside of work, her greatest ambitions are to spend her life travelling across the world and to start small elephant sanctuaries in Thailand, Kerala and Sri Lanka.

Meet Mohammad Shah, a regional sales manager at Data Zoo and a father of a bubbly three-year-old boy. Besides work, Shah is an aspiring filmmaker who boasts a blu-ray collection of over 100 films and he's also a lifelong Arsenal fan!

Meet Dr Noorul Faeyza, a practitioner of family medicine. She believes that no matter how ambitious or challenging someone's goals may be, as long as they have a burning sense of passion, sheer determination and the patience to overcome the challenges, the sky is the limit. Outside of work, she enjoys going on urban and nature trails with her cousin to explore the hidden corners of this concrete jungle.

Meet Amir Azhar, an associate product marketing manager at Google. Prior to product marketing, he worked in venture capital and start-up marketing for 3 years.
Amir graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management. When not at his desk, he enjoys mixing music and road cycling around the island.

Meet Najeer Yusof, a photojournalist who has previously worked with TODAY. In addition to his passion for photography, he also enjoy hikes, he challenges himself yearly to hike up a mountain.
